  1. Windows Vista and XP supported and full compatibility with earlier versions of MakaiPlan.

  2. New FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) add-on provides the capability to import over 150 different formats of GIS data, including S57, Digital Nautical Charts, and many ESRI formats.

  1. Zoom in/out of the Plan View using the mouse scroll.

  2. The Map Legend, Project Explorer, Properties Window, Cable and Cable Body List, and all the Tools are now "tear off' windows that can be displayed outside of the main MakaiPlan window.

  3. The distance measurement tool now shows the slope between contours as well as distance.

  4. Multiple path points can be moved simultaneously during editing.

  5. DBDB-V formatted bathymetry data can now be imported into the Makai DTM module

UK Admiralty (ARCS) charts not yet functional in Windows Vista.

Note that in order to read UK Admiralty (ARCS) charts, you will need the "ARCS for GIS" software and a dongle from Intelliscan. Intelliscan has not yet released a version of ARCS for GIS that is compatible with Windows Vista or Geomedia V6.1. The release date has been set for the 4th quarter of 2008.
